What's In a Name? - My Signature GummiBand Reveal (GIVEAWAY)

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of announcing my ambassadorship with my favourite Canadian indie brand, GummiBand!

If you've never heard of them, GummiBands are the best thing that will ever happen to your hair. These hair cords have made me bid farewell to all my other hair ties; they're that amazing. Plus the company is based in Vancouver and full of amazing girl-power!
(click here if you want to read more about them)

Since announcing this amazing partnership of ours, we wanted to celebrate with something extra special. Something that ties us together and represents us both authentically. I was so flattered when the owner, Kirsten, gave me the opportunity to choose my own signature GummiBand colour!!

I know. I still can't believe it, either!

The Signature Doll & Dye GummiBand Colour! And soon it can be yours!
Keep reading for an exclusive giveaway!
When I received my box of sample colours, I was amazed at how many options I had to choose from (which means there are lots of fun new colours to come!). Though at first glance, I was immediately drawn to the vibrant fuschia shade.

Care to wager a guess as to why?

While GummiBand currently carries two pink shades, this one is a true fuschia and is totally opaque. But still features all the great qualities that GummiBand has to offer: super strong, hypoallergenic, & long-lasting!

You could say this was a match made in pink heaven.

While picking the colour came naturally to me, giving it a name was no easy task. I wanted something that spoke to the shade choice but also paid homage to me and what I'm about.
I didn't want to just call it 'Doll And Dye Pink', that just seemed too bland.

Pink has essentially become my lifestyle. My hair, my clothing, my makeup, my home decor; everything has a touch of pink, in one way or another. I fully embody the colour and all it's vibrancy as a way to help others embrace colour in their own lives. That's what Doll & Dye is all about!

When I got to thinking about how the colour pink influences me, I immediately looked to my Spotfiy playlists. Nothing puts me in more of a feel-good mood than my favourite tunes, and one just so happens to be named after a particular shade of pink.

My all-time favourite song has to be 'Raspberry Beret' by Prince.  And as soon as I put it on, I knew that was the name.

It always makes me want to get up and dance. It brings a smile to my face when I'm in the sourest of moods. I connect with it, I see myself in it, and it fills me with so much joy.
Just like my favourite colour.

Prince was synonymous with the colour purple. And while I'm nowhere near that level of stardom, I like to think I've become synonymous with the colour pink.

You won't find this in a second-hand store, that's for sure!

Raspberry Beret by Doll & Dye will be available in a 4-pack for $7.99, exclusively on the GummiBand website as of March 5th, 2018. As always, shipping is free across Canada!

Plus, you can use my promo code 'DOLLNDYE' to score an extra 2 free GummiBands on your order!

I'm so pleased to be able to share this exciting collaboration with you all, and I can't wait to see you sporting these funky fuschia cords in your up-dos! It's an absolute honour to be a part of the GummiBand family! Thank you for the love and support!

  26. This is making me want to dye my hair pink again. I could never find hair bands that matched my colour closely enough and these would be perfect. I always went with clear ones. I'm definitely planning on getting these because the colour is GORGEOUS and I'm a huge Prince fan... so of course. :)

If I had my own signature, it would be a deep royal purple with silver flecks of glitter and I'd call it Space Witch.
